forsaking a full-ride baseball scholarship after his older brother, U.S. Marine Force Recon officer Lt. Scott “Curveball” Mays, is killed in Afghanistan in June 2002. It’s at Parris Island, South Carolina (the famed Marine Corps recruit training facility) where he, and several recruits, are accidentally left behind during a full-force hurricane with Drill Instructor Gunnery Sergeant Conrad Beckert a.k.a.: “The Gunny”) who has gone insane and has decided to kill them all, one by one…
